Manicures and Shellac

In the not too distant future The Treatment Den will be offering a range of nail treatments exclusively using products from the worlds leading nail company - CND (formerly Creative Nail Design). Founded in 1979 they have a simple mission, to provide professionals with the best nail products, training and services available. The products are so popular the company won 11 First Places in the prestigious Nails Readers Choice Awards 2011, with products including Shellac, SolarOil, Scentsations L

We use CND products in all of our nail treatments, and we also recommend them to our clients to keep their nails and hands looking fantastic and feeling gorgeous. The most popular product for that is the CND SolarOil - sometimes referred to as a 'Miracle in a bottle', a synergistic blend of naturally light oils and Vitamin E, it is designed to deeply penetrate and protect nails and skin.

Essential Manicure

If you have a hot date, fabulous function, or just want to keep your nails in top condition we have our Essential Manicure. It is the basis of all of our natural nail treatments.

We like to make all the treatments a luxury one, so to start off make yourself comfortable and then place your hands into the bowls of warm water. We then add the Citrus Milk Bath with Vitamin E, grapeseed oil and a rejuvenating blend of lime, orange & lemongrass essential oils to soften and cleanse the hands. While soaking them have a look through the drinks menu and see what takes your fancy, some still or sparkling water, coffee, one of a selection of Twinnings Tea or how about a little indulgence with a Cadbury's Hot Chocolate.

The treatment includes a cuticle tidy up, hand massage and moisturise to help the skin look and feel as fabulous as your nails, shaping and filling of the natural nails before finishing off with the polish colour and effect of your choice, or you may decide to have the 14 day Shellac polish instead.

Spa Manicure

The CND Citrus Spa Manicure makes a manicure into a truly luxurious Spa experience. The Spa Manicure add's the following steps to your manicure:

Citrus Moisture Scrub

To give your hands a lovely lumious glow we use Citrus Moisture Scrub to exfoliate the skin. With it's combination of fine salts and refined sugar cane it gently polishes and deeply conditions the skin leaving it feeling supple and refreshed.

Citrus Masque

To deeply condition and reduce the visible signs of aging we apply the Citrus Masque to the hands. We then place your hands in some heated towel mitts and wrap them in soft fluffy towels to allow the masque to soak into the skin.

Hydrating Citrus Massage

We aren't finished yet, we have my favourite part of the manicure to do! The hand and arm massage, to help ease away any last tensions in the hands and to to apply the Hydrating Citrus Massage cream, which as well as reducing visible signs of aging helps restore skin to its natural suppleness and elasticity.

And finally we finish your manicure with your choice of nail polish. Or the new 14 day flawless shine of Shellac, the most exciting development in natural nail care for years.

Shellac

You may have heard about Shellac, launched by CND in May 2010 it really has taken the world by storm. So much so that in November 2011 it was listed as one of the Hottest Brands in America by Advertising Age. Shellac is applied like nail polish with the traditional brush in a bottle, but it is then cured under a UV lamp (in the same way Gel nails are). But unlike Gel nails it feels like a polish on your nails, it is that easy to wear and you can walk out of the salon with perfectly dry nails ready to take on the world ... or just get your keys out of your handbag. Something that Shellac lets you do without worrying about smudging.

The mirror like shine lasts two weeks ... that is two weeks without smudging or chipping. And it removes from the nails in just ten minutes, either here at The Treatment Den or you can buy a home removal kit from us.
