How to talk to clients

I did my initial massage training over 6 years ago, it was fantastic! I learnt about touch, effleurage, pettrisage, the importnance of client consultation and contra-indications. But when I left and was thrust out into the world of paying clients I was a little lost - how would I know what treatment to give the client? How would I make sure they came back?

What I try to do with this workshop is introduce you to ways of working with clients, how to find out why your client is coming for a treatment, how to make sure at the end of the treatment they leaving thinking "wow that was fantastic!" rather then "great thanks."

We each have our own unique ways of doing treatments and we need to ensure that we stand out from the crowd, we go that bit further to help the client and to make them feel really valued.

Practical, not lecturing

This isn't a lecture, it is a masterclass were we build upon your skills whatever 'level' you are at, newly qualified or with twenty five years experience everyone can learn from this, and we learn from each other. It's practical interactive learning, we will work as a group, in pairs, in small groups and yes do some massage work too. And we will hopefully learn as much from each other as much as the course content.

By the end of the workshop...

You should be more confident about working with your clients to help them achieve their desired outcome from the treatment. You will have new ways of promoting your business, or rather ways in which your clients will want to promote your business for you. You'll have an understanding of how important it is to look after yourself, both physically and personally. You'll hopefully understand the important of ambiance, environment, and music in a massage. You'll know some of they most important things you should never say to a client during a treatment, and you'll learn the simplest words to really make a great treatment into an amazing one.
